Reliability Management System — Making
It Work
An effective Reliability Management System (RMS) has to consist of the following key elements: 1) An effective governance structure, 2)
Effective supporting reliability processes, 3) Competent and experienced people, and 4) A good supporting administrative procedure. An
effective RMS would provide the organisation with total control of their operation and would result in no surprises. However, to be able to
reach that ultimate stage of operation, all key elements of the RMS must be operational.
