Reliability Engineering in Development of the Static Converter for Supply System for Mobile Refrigeration Supply System

The static converter is the key component of the new generation of electrical supply systems. The new supply system was developed for the truck refrigeration unit, bus and rail heating, ventilation and air conditioned unit. The challenge was to develop a solution that enables more sophisticated energy management for conventional and hybrid vehicle drive system installations. This presentation explains how reliability engineering can be effectively implemented during development of the new technology for various applications. Reliability engineering is the part of the development process that includes design FMEA, design review, qualification test programs and system reliability analysis.

Key Words: Supply System, Static Converter, DFMEA, Product Endurance, System Reliability
