Design for Reliability Based Concept and Design Verification of an LED Lighting Solution
Design for Reliability (DFR) has its vital place within product development, enabling fast product development and providing evidence that set reliability improvement targets are achieved. This presentation deals with a new LED-based lightning solution and its concept and design verification activities. Design for Reliability practices used in the case project include both qualitative and quantitative methods.
The presentation also provides an overview of later DFR steps during the life cycle of the product.
Key Words: DFR (Design for Reliability), LED (Light Emitting Diode), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing), QALT (Quantitative Accelerated Life Testing), POF (Physics of Failure)
